As the CEO of Kirchhoff-Consigli and Head of Development, Joe will provide invaluable guidance and insight throughout the project. From his experience in founding Kirchhoff Construction nearly twenty years ago (Kirchhoff-Consigli’s predecessor) and developing nearly 4,000,000 sf to date, Joe has built more than projects, he has forged lasting relationships that facilitate some of the most complex projects in the Hudson Valley Region.
A graduate of University of Florida, Kyle has a bachelor’s degree in business management and minor in real estate.
He works closely with Kirchhoff-Consigli during the construction phase of development projects to ensure the process runs as smoothly and efficiently as possible. Kyle also works closely with Kirchhoff Green Energy as a project manager.
Brian Cohan serves as Senior Developer for Kirchhoff Companies. He works directly with Joe Kirchhoff, the company’s founding principal, managing the day to day responsibilities of the company’s development activities.
Currently Brian is serving as lead developer for Kirchhoff’s $25 million, 305-bed student housing project at the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, NY. This project is on track to receive its final site plan approval four months from the date of submission. He is responsible for all aspects of development including design, entitlements, financing, construction, and property management.
Brian’s greatest strength is his ability to see both sides of an issue and work honestly to propose workable solutions for all involved.
Mel J. Grillo:
Director of Property Management, Property Management Lead
A career real estate professional, Mel J. Grillo has been a member of the Kirchhoff team for over five years and is responsible for managing its substantial portfolio of residential, retail and commercial real estate assets. In this capacity, he and his management staff will provide strong local support to the Collegiate Management Group as it oversees the management of the University’s student housing.
Before coming to Kirchhoff, Mr. Grillo was General Manager of Artemis Properties, Inc., a real estate company owned by Peter G. Angelos, noted Maryland attorney and owner of the Baltimore Orioles. At Artemis he managed over 750,000 square feet of Class A office, hotel and retail space in and around Baltimore’s Inner Harbor.
Prior to this, Mr. Grillo was President of Site Realty Group which managed over thirty Baltimore and Washington, D.C. condominium and townhouse complexes numbering over 1,500 units and representing $350 million worth of residential property. Prior to Site Realty Group, he was Vice President of a Boston based publicly held real estate investment trust and was responsible for real estate assets located from Virginia to Massachusetts and valued at over $500 million.
